Hurricane Isaias makes landfall near Pensacola; Cedar Key escapes serious damage
Hurricane Isaias came ashore just outside Pensacola on Friday after weakening from major hurricane strength before landfall. Cedar Key, which suffered significant flooding from both Idalia in 2023 and Helene in 2024, was spared the worst this time — residents were spotted fishing along the waterfront within hours of the storm’s arrival.
