Tom Petty Park reopens after $2.6 million renovation with pickleball courts, new amenities
Gainesville’s Tom Petty Park officially reopened on June 6 following a $2.6 million renovation project that added eight pickleball courts, shade canopies, seating areas, a multiuse trail, and a concessions building with public restrooms. Mayor Harvey Ward and city commissioners joined residents at the reopening celebration. The project followed several years of planning and community input, along with one year of construction.
