Gainesville police seek suspect in fatal Phoenix neighborhood shooting

Gainesville police are investigating a homicide that occurred late Friday night in the Phoenix neighborhood after officers were called to a home where gunshots were reported. A man with gunshot wounds was transported to a nearby hospital by a private party and later died from his injuries. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
